House of the Dragon season 2 Trailer

House of the Dragon season 2 trailer.

House of the Dragons season 2 episode 1, titled ” Gathering Storm,” set a trembling stage for another ruthless battle and betrayal in the history of Westeroes. Throne, conspiracy, dishonesty and dragons are some of the unique aspects that turn the universe of Game of Thrones into different shades and compulse us to be glued to our seats till the end. As we warn at the beginning, you won’t come out of the world once you start to watch. Episode “Gathering Storm” begins with the same potential as season 1 and doesn’t seem like a fresh start.

Before moving ahead in the review, just want to highlight the effort that the makers put into the ideation of this massive universe in which a large number of characters survive with different motivations and desires and even dark ones. Script is the root of this series, and not for this, it apply to the previous creation done by the makers. Dialogues are the single power medium which clarifies the character from its core and develop the outer atmospher with only this powerfull piece through out the episode.

“Gathering Storm” moves its narration wheels with King Viserys Targaryen’s aftereffect of taking massive decision, which he took in House of the Dragon season 1. Episode 1 holds a handsome amount of tension in every single scene as Westreos gets into major civil wars that are happening among Nobel families and carries the potential to hold breath. “Gathering Storm” focuses on the big meeting that is going to be held at Dragonstone and explores all the surrounding aspects that revolve around the near sequences of the meeting.

Episode 1 continued the narrative of the House of the Dragons in a straight direction; the makers just focused on the plot and character enhancement rather than proper character development, which is a good take because we saw a handful of characters in the House of the Dragon season 1 and got familiar with their motivation, backstory, and psychology. A perfect example of someone who justifies this statement is Rhaenyra Targaryen, who has now come out as a more mature person and is is taking tough decisions even when tacking on major situations but he seems confused and tangled in relation to Daemon Targaryen as their relationship gets more complicated.

Talking about cinematography, which looks more fabolous in comparison to the previous installments shows, including Game f Thrones and House of the Dragon season 1. Episode one focused on more details in each segment, especially with the CGI of dragons, which looks more realistic. Sound tracks and background music enchance the level of intensity among the characters, situations, dialogues and performances especialy Rhaenyra Targaryen, who come with more ability and vulnerability and the charm of Daemon Targaryen flurishing more.
